PPFC Season 4
The Pantry Pokemon Fight Club is a draft league hosted by Don Shnack on his discord server. This was the fourth season of this league and the largest one yet! Don Shnack has grown a ton on youtube since the last season, and he advertised it on his channel. We got a huge influx of players, and had 100 players participating! I was in the second highest division, Lasagna, which consisted of two conferences of ten teams. While I didn't do as well in prior seasons, the skill level was much higher than before, so I'm quite pleased with my performance. I think the team I drafted held on it's own well enough, despite being fairly one-note. I did get lucky in a number of matches, but that's pokemon for ya.

The Squad
Mega Gallade (Isekai)
I'm so happy I was able to get this guy. While I don't think I used him to his full potential, I really wanted to use this mon. It was just fun to have such a strong offensive presence.
KOs: 9 | Faints: 6 | Appearances: 9
Kingambit (Checkmate)
I think I've learned that I'm not good with slow attackers. While this guy pairs well with the team, I just don't think I used him well. While strong, I struggled to find where he could shine most of the time.
KOs: 2 | Faints: 4 | Appearances: 4
Iron Moth (Mothiva)
Moth is so fun. With such a diverse movepool and easy methods to boost stats, this bug swept up many kills for me. So fun to use and very pleased with its performance.
KOs: 6 | Faints: 5 | Appearances: 7
Tapu Fini (Siren's Song)
I kept reading that fini paired really well with M-Gallade, and while true, it also stood on it's own well. While not having reliable recovery is rough, it covered that with having some offensive presence to not just be a damage sponge.
KOs: 4 | Faints: 6 | Appearances: 7
Landorus (Grongus)
Grongus my beloved. The star of the team. Both physical and special sets were so fun to use, and as my Z-Captain, was able to pull off a Z-Gravity on a team banking on their flying types. The power of Grongus is to be reckoned with.
KOs: 15 | Faints: 4 | Appearances: 8
Electrode-H (Dendromagnetic)
Another star of the team. As the fastest thing out there, this silly guy was able to outpace so many things and clean up quite a number of pokemon. Fantastic tera captain, for the extra coverage pairs greatly with the speed.
KOs: 11 | Faints: 4 | Appearances: 9
Coalossal (Powerocks)
Carkoal was so fun to use last season, I had to grab their dad. I wasn't sure how much I'd like this guy, but he pulled his weight for sure. Between setting hazards, spreading burns, and Power Gem, this guy was the rock I needed.
KOs: 5 | Faints: 6 | Appearances: 7
Uxie (Archivist)
Fulfilled a similar role as Coalossal, but provided a different set of utility moves. Gave me a nice slow, bulky pivot, and paralysis that came in clutch in a couple of battles. I also just really like the lake guardians.
KOs: 0 | Faints: 4 | Appearances: 6
Brambleghast (Brambleblast)
Wanted another spinner and a ghost type, and this guy seemed pretty fun for that role. While I didn't use them much, they did help a ton in the matches that it came to. Not the best guy, but can pack a punch in the right cases.
KOs: 1 | Faints: 1 | Appearances: 2
Komala (Pillowstump)
Never had a reason to bring this lil guy. Wanted a normal type just in case, and it has some useful utility. Just never seemed to fit onto a team, or would get blasted by the opponent's main threats.
KOs: 0 | Faints: 0 | Appearances: 0
Murkrow (Crowizard)
Another guy that never reached the battlefield... Prankster seemed so good for this guy, especially with his prevalence in doubles. However, like Komala, just never seemed to fit the team.
